Hi, we are Sue and Richard and live in Sileby, Leicestershire. We have been breeding for show purposes since Easter 2010. We started off with mini lops but have now changed our breed to dwarf lops long with polish rabbits. We have recenly acquired some netherland dwarfs so are just beginning to breed these with hopefully some reaching the show table very shortly. We are members of the British Rabbit Council, National Mini Lop Rabbit Club, National Dwarf & French Lop Club, Midland Lop Club, Yorkshire Lop Club, National Polish Rabbit Club and Midland Netherland Dwarf Club. We show our rabbits most weekends and have met some lovely friends through our rabbits.
We must give thanks to the many people that have helped us in getting started with our hobby and who continue to offer constant support and invaluable advice.
We are breeding rabbits to show but will occasionally have rabbits for sale, both babies and adults.
In the Spring of 2013, we decided that we would like to concentrate on just chins and red eyed whites with our dwarf lops. Our polish rabbits are all red eyed whites, and the nethies we have got are black otter, blue otter and agouti.
We also have four dogs, Max a black labrador, Skippy a working sheepdog, Ruby a cocker spaniel and our latest addition, Jess our Springer spaniel pup. Added to this, we have four cats, all youngsters and some gold fish, so quite a menagerie that keep us extremely busy.
We have just taken on the role of joint secretary for Sleaford Rabbit Club and our ambition is to start our own rabbit club within Leicestershire. Plans are underway for this at the moment.
